Punjab Land Record Authority starts e-registration of lands
In Lahore, South Punjab Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Capt (rtd) Saqib Zafar instructed administrative secretaries to develop an e-registration system to improve transparency in the property registration process.

During a meeting, the ACS directed the relevant agencies to take action to enhance good governance and service delivery. By implementing the electronic registration system, public complaints about fraud and corruption will be addressed.

The system will be connected with the National Database & Registration Authority (NADRA), an electronic stamping system, and the e-registration system to eliminate all opportunities for tax evasion and document loss.
The ACS said that this will make the real estate industry more efficient and revenue personnel will be trained to use the knowledge they have gained from the ongoing Sahiwal Division e-registration pilot project.
