PWD Underpass Design Changed Slightly
Islamabad: A minor modification to the PWD underpass design may cause a one-month delay in the project’s completion. Originally scheduled for June, the project will now likely wrap up in July.

The sources claimed that the CDA increased the scope of the work due to a modification in the design of a roundabout.
However, a representative from the engineering wing claimed that altering the design of a roundabout was necessary and that doing so was permissible because the project’s scope may be increased by up to 15%.

Representatives of the CDA stated that while a one-month delay was acceptable and that it was fine even if the project was finished in July, further delays should not be made.
The work is ongoing, according to a CDA engineer, and attempts are being made to finish it before the deadline. He acknowledged that the work’s scope had been expanded.
The enlargement of the Korang Bridge over the motorway was also in development at the time, and the CDA estimates that it will be finished by the end of the year.

In addition to the two ongoing projects, he claimed that the CDA also has plans to upgrade and enlarge the expressway’s service road from Faizabad to Khanapul (towards the Sohan side).
