LHC Seeks LDA’s Explanation for Regularizing of Housing Projects
According to press reports, the Lahore High Court (LHC) has asked the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) for an explanation as to why the private housing project “Ferozepur City Housing Scheme” has taken so long to be regularized.

According to reports, LHC Chief Judge Muhammad Qasim Khan reportedly called for an explanation while presiding over a hearing of a suit brought against the LDA’s refusal to regularize the Ferozepur City Housing Project.
LDA Director General Ahmad Aziz Tarar, along with other authorities, attended the hearing. A technical committee has been established for the regularization, and the LDA attorney told the court that its meeting is set for May 5.

The attorney added that a poll had been conducted and the issue had been forwarded to the appropriate authorities. The LHC then postponed further hearing until May 6 and instructed DG LDA to attend the hearing and provide an overview of the technical committee’s work.
