Rashakai SEZ Expected to Boost FDI in Pakistan
Islamabad: Prime Minister’s Trade and Investment Advisor Abdul Razak Dawood said the Rashakai SEZ will bring huge foreign direct investment (FDI) to Pakistan and set a new path for national industrialization. news said.

Reportedly, Rashakai SEZ spans over a thousand acres and has attracted more than 2,000 domestic and foreign investments in various fields.
He also mentioned that the country is looking to welcome Chinese industries in the SEZ into joint ventures (JVs) with local investors and work together for mutual benefit. Dawood said the government is prioritizing the development of SEZs to attract FDI and bring new technology to Pakistan.

These SEZs are promoted for import substitution, export promotion, technology transfer, and job creation. Dawood said Rashakai’s development has huge strategic advantages due to its proximity to “resource-rich Central Asian republics” and will enhance economic integration in the region.
