Rawalpindi Police Launches Crackdown Against Encroachments and Illegal Parking
Tamoor Khan, the Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) for Rawalpindi, has instructed the traffic wardens to enforce tough penalties for unauthorised parking, particularly on Murree Road, Raja Bazar, and other congested areas of the city.

A representative for the City Traffic Police (CTP) stated that the administration is putting up significant effort to guarantee efficient traffic flow. Additionally, he said that CTP has established unique arrangements to remove encroachments.
For the purpose of removing encroachments and vehicles parked in forbidden areas, the department has stationed lifters in Raja Bazar, Murree Road, and other locations. In order to restrict traffic flow, the spokesman stated that more force had been placed in commercial areas.

The main goal of this operation, according to him, is to remove encroachments and unlawful parking on routes including Murree Road, City Saddar Road, Imperial Market, Gungmandi Road, and Bara Market.
Daily commuters in Rawalpindi are now plagued by traffic, especially around rush hour. The authorities have promised to take harsh action against traffic obstructers and have asked for the public’s cooperation and patience.
