RDA Confirms State-Run Firms to Compete for RRR’s Project
Rawalpindi: According to the most recent news sources, the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has decided to award the Rawalpindi Ring Road (RRR) development contract to government-owned construction companies only. The project would be given to Frontier Works Organisation (FWO), National Logistics Cell (NLC), or National Construction Organisation (NCO) (NC).

The 38-kilometer project, which would cost PKR 23 billion, will be completed in two years, according to an RDA official. National Engineering Service Pakistan (NESPAK) reports that the major road infrastructure will begin near GT Road Rawat in Bandh and end in Thaliyan, serving as a secondary traffic route to industrial zones. The RDA has already issued a letter to the management of FWO and NLC, requesting that they submit their bids together with the necessary certifications and portfolios of previous work in order to be evaluated for inclusion on the final list of selected businesses.
