RDA Shares Details on Approved, Illegal Housing Schemes
A news source said that the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has disclosed information regarding approved, unapproved, and pending No Objection Certificate (NOC) housing plans in Rawalpindi.

According to the information provided, a total of 264 housing plans in the RDA-administered area are illegal, which indicates that the developers of these projects are selling property units without a NOC from the authority. Gojjar Khan, Murree, Kotli Sattiyan, and Taxila host the majority of these developments.
In the Rawalpindi District, 47 of 136 housing plans are RDA-approved, 19 projects are awaiting NOC issuance, and 80 societies are unlawful. 8 projects are undergoing the clearance process in Murree, while 49 proposals are illegal.

Similarly, Taxila has four approved housing projects, eleven projects undergoing the approval process, and eighteen illegal developments. In Kotli Sattiyan, the approval process for one project is pending, while two housing schemes are illegal.
Hafiz Muhammad Irfan, a spokeswoman for the RDA, told reporters that the armed guards of illegal housing schemes prevent the RDA from pursuing legal action against these projects. According to him, the RDA should have its own checkpoints. Before investing money, Irfan also advised the public to confirm a society’s approval status.
