The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has demolished a number of unlawful structures on Chak Beli Road in Rawalpindi on the directives of RDA Chairman Tariq Mehmood and DG RDA Muhammad Saif Anwar Jappa.
22 residential buildings still under construction, four site offices, and nine billboards for four illegal housing schemes were destroyed by RDA inspectors.

A Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP&TE) Directorate lawsuit was filed against four illegal housing projects, including:
- Turkish Smart City
- Nishan-e-Mustafa
- Ample Living
- Countryside Farms
The Punjab Development of Cities Act of 1976 and the Punjab Private Housing Schemes and Land Subdivision Rules of 2010 were broken, according to the Director MP&TE RDA, because the owners of the aforementioned housing schemes built structures without obtaining approval for the maps or No Objection Certificates (NOCs).
According to the statement, the DG RDA has instructed the MP&TE Directorate to take stern action against encroachments, illegal buildings, and commercial operations without distinction.
He also cautioned locals against participating in dubious housing schemes.
