Reforms being Made in CDA, Says Minister
Islamabad’s Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, Ali Mohammad Khan, said the Senate on Monday that the city’s master plan was being revised after 53 years.

He noted that the topic was also considered in the federal cabinet. He stated that the government has no objections to referring the topic to the committee in order to resolve Senator Mushtaq’s concerns.
Earlier, moving the motion Senator Mushtaq said illegal commercial plazas were erected in E-11 by invading a nullah that caused urban flooding in Islamabad for the first time costing millions of dollars damage to private houses besides the loss of two lives.
He claimed that mafias in CDA permitted the development of such unlawful plots along the nullahs.

He asked a high-level committee to study the incident, and stern accountability of the concerned officials participating in the illegal conduct.
In addition, he advised that modest dams be constructed on rainy nullahs to improve the attractiveness of the capital.
