Rehabilitation of Mansehra-Naran-Jalkhad Road in Progress
Recently, a news source claimed that Mansehra Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dr. Qasim Ali Khan disclosed that the National Highway Authority is developing a plan to rebuild the Mansehra-Naran-Jalkhad Road, which connects Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with Gilgit Baltistan. He divulged this information to the media during his interview.
The DC further noted that the district administration had compensated landowners whose land was acquired for the Suki Kinari Hydropower Project in Kaghan Valley with PKR 2.03 billion.
Dr. Khan stated that he informed the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on planning and development during a meeting that a total of PKR 3.7 billion must be paid as compensation for the land acquisition for the Suki Kinari hydropower project, of which PKR 2.03 billion has already been paid.

The deputy commissioner further disclosed that the committee’s chairman had established a second group, led by MNA Salah Mohammad Khan, to resolve land compensation concerns along Mansehra-Naran-Jalkhad Road.
