Relocation of Darra Girls College Opposed
Kohat: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Professors and Lecturers Association’s Darra Adamkhel chapter has resisted moving the girls’ college to make way for the construction of a boys’ degree institution.
Members of the organization argued the relocation of females’ studies there would be problematic for them and go against tribal social and cultural traditions because the Fata University was already housed in the boy’s college building.
In a resolution, the participants criticized the choice and demanded that lessons be moved to the ladies’ college’s new building, which had recently been built close to the Kohat tunnel.

They claimed that moving the ladies’ sessions to the boys’ institution, which was situated on the main Indus Highway, would cause issues for the students traveling from remote locations.
