Revised PC-I of Rawalpindi Ring Road Project Reestablishes
Rawalpindi: According to the divisional administration, PC-I of the Rawalpindi Ring Road project has been updated and handed to the Punjab government for clearance.
According to the PC-I, the 38-kilometer old alignment of the road from Rawat to Thalian has been restored.

In a statement released late Tuesday night, a spokeswoman for the divisional administration stated that the PC-I will likely be approved. She stated that the ring road would begin at G.T. Road in Rawat and end at Thalian’s motorway.
On the other hand, a senior district administration official who requested anonymity questioned how the government could begin the project in the upcoming fiscal year since it had not included it in its 2021-22 annual development programme.
Prime Minister Imran Khan halted the project in April after learning of purported alterations to the realignment of the much-needed Rawalpindi Ring Road project.

Despite repeated attempts, Commissioner Syed Gulzar Hussain Shah was unavailable to reply.
When contacted, the spokesperson for the divisional administration, Irfan Tahir, stated that the PC-I had been sent to Lahore for final approval and that the government would give funding following the project’s approval.
