Ring Road Project Handed Over to Lahore Authority in 2020
Rawalpindi: Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Chairman Tariq Mehmood Murtaza stated that the civic organization had nothing to do with the Rawalpindi Ring Road project since it was transferred to the Lahore Ring Road Authority in 2020.

However, he stated that RDA was working on the Leh Nullah Expressway and Flood Channel Project and that the Punjab government had given Rs 30.2 billion in the Annual Development Programme for land acquisition for the Leh Nullah project (ADP).
A new approval method for private housing societies and building plans has been established: maps and layout plans will be approved within 30 days, land use changes will be approved within 45 days, and housing schemes will be approved within 75 days.
In the previous fiscal year, RDA generated 559 million rupees in revenue as opposed to the aim of 295 million rupees.

Leh Nullah has been thoroughly cleaned, according to the RDA chairman, long before the advent of monsoon season. Leh Nullah rose to 21 feet at Katarian Bridge and 17 feet at Gawalmandi Bridge, although there was no water in the city itself.
With a subsidy of 30 million rupees from the Punjab government, the Leh Nullah cleanup project was finished in June.
