Rrudp, Cbd in Lahore Vital for Leveraging Foreign Investment:

According to a news report from Islamabad, Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan stated that the Central Economic District (CBD) and Ravi Riverfront Urban Development Project (RRUDP) projects in Lahore are essential for attracting international investment and bolstering the economy and business operations of the country.

While presiding over a meeting to assess the RRUDP and CBD’s development, the premier reportedly made these remarks. The prime minister instructed the participants to overcome the legal obstacles limiting the proper implementation of the projects.

According to the sources, 5,000 new trees are being planted in the region, and 98% of the area’s trees have been relocated, as reported by the chief executive officer of the Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA), who briefed Prime Minister Khan on the progress of the Central Business District. A Saudi company has given USD 500 million to the Bab-e-Pakistan Project, which encompasses 122 acres of land in Walton, as part of a revenue-sharing agreement for a joint venture.

A contract to create a business area on underutilized Lahore Airport land was disclosed by the CBD and Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) administrations. In addition, it was stated at the conference that the Industrial Estate and Rakh Jhok Forest are undergoing construction.
