Rs 1.5 Million Salary Package for Ruda CEO
Lahore: The Punjab government has announced that the new CEO of the Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) will get a salary of Rs 1.5 million per month starting on February 18.

The issue also sparked a discussion on social media about the way the position was filled, the way it was advertised, the salary package, etc., and whether or not the appointment broke the federal government’s Management Position (MP) Policy-2020, which is also used by provincial governments when hiring professionals in MP grades.
The secretary of the Housing Department said that the CEO is being looked for right now.
But in December 2018, the highest court stopped NAB from getting the salaries of the managing director of the Punjab Safe Cities Authority and the chief operating officer. They had asked for a review of an earlier court order that said they had to pay back money they got on top of their regular salaries.
