Rs 6 million Lahore-Gujranwala Motorway Project to Boost Local Industrial Zones
A key trade leader remarked on Sunday that the Rs6 billion Lahore-Gujranwala highway project will play a significant role in the expansion of local companies.

Umar Ashraf Mughal, president of the Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce and Industrial Affairs (GCCI), told the relevant officials in an exclusive interview that the Lahore-Gujranwala Autobahnen not only connects the local industrial region to the rest of the country’s industrial cities with roads and other roads, but also provides local public transportation.
He stated that it would connect the country’s two main industrial centres, Gujranwala and Sialkot, with the local industrial units mutually benefiting.

The project is being carried out on the assumption that the Gujranwala Chamber of Industry and Commerce (GCCI) has also provided cash, and that the government has granted aid for site acquisition. The project is being carried out under a paradigm of public-private cooperation.
