Rs. 97 Billion Worth Projects Finalized in Peshawar
Peshawar: The projects for the supply of potable water and solid waste management have been completed, according to sources in the Local Government and Rural Development Department (LG&RD). Out of the Rs.144 billion budgeted for the Annual Development Program, Rs. 97 billion has been spent on the aforementioned projects (ADP).

In KPK, the local government secretary, Shakeel Ahmed, revealed that Rs. 32 billion has been set aside for the local department at a briefing for the LG&RD Minister, Faisal Amin Gandapur, on Thursday.

The minister was informed that significant projects totaling Rs. 111 billion had been carried out. The Local Council Board, Area Development Authorities, Directorate General of Local Government, and Foreign Aided Projects are the four main organizations functioning under the department. The Minister was also informed about development cases, ongoing projects, and these entities.
According to Mr. Shakeel, the department is making every effort to ensure the careful and open use of money to initiatives that are in the general public’s best interests.
