Thursday in LAHORE, the Ravi Urban Development Authority (Ruda) and MasterCard cooperated to transform the neighborhood into a cashless economic zone and to accelerate the country’s digital transformation.

According to the sources, the collaboration between MasterCard and the urban development project deploys a smart city solution. This will facilitate the connection of people, merchants, and authorities through digital channels. Citizens will pay their bills and conduct transactions for utility services using automated portals. Ruda will become more productive. It will be able to carry out a variety of operations, including fee collection and other administrative tasks.

Ruda is aiming to transform the province’s urban centers into a well-managed economic growth engine. MasterCard will assist Ruda in realizing this idea of a cashless framework based on the community’s design.
