RUDA to Be Established as a Body Parallel to LDA
According to news sources, the Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) has drafted and submitted a summary for the adoption of new regulations that would allow the RUDA the same privileges as the Lahore Development Authority (LDA).
In this regard, RUDA has drafted and provided Dr. Salman Shah, Chairman of RUDA, the agenda. The new laws will apply to the whole 102,271-acre land area of RUDA’s three phases.

According to the specifics, the meeting of the Board of Directors is expected to be convened in 10 days following the approval of the agenda. In addition, once approved, the RUDA will have the same authority as the LDA in terms of approving educational construction plans, master plans, and housing scheme accreditations.

Similarly, land within the boundaries of RUDA may be delivered directly to the authority following approval of the agenda, and landowners who choose to donate land directly to RUDA will receive 30% plot files. Under the newly proposed laws, landowners in RUDA zones will be provided enticing incentives.
