Sahiwal to Be Associated with Lahore-Multan Motorway
Two road projects of Rs 12 billion have been approved by the Punjabi government for Sahiwal. Sahiwal and Sumandari will be connected by a new motorway that will cost Rs 9 billion to construct on the Lahore-Multan Motorway. The Sahiwal-Lahore GT Road portion will be renovated as part of the second project, which would cost Rs 3 billion.

Upon the dedication of the Sahiwal Bypass road carpeting project, Governor Chaudhry Sarwar made this statement.
He stated that the carpeting work would be completed in stages. Sahiwal bypass carpeting will cost Rs 140 million in the first phase. Sahiwal-Okara Section and Okara Bypass carpets will cost Rs 296.4 million and Rs 481.7 million in the second and third phases, respectively, to complete.

The entire project was shelved, and in its place, the governor announced the construction of a new motorway that will link Sahiwal with the Lahore–Multan Motorway via Samundari.
According to information obtained, the Punjab government’s previously agreed grant for the project will now be used to build a new motorway. According to the populace, the governor changed the mega project plan on the Rais of Chichawatni’s advice.
