Sarobi Dam Cost Increased by Rs 184 Million
Due to the increase in construction cost estimates, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has approved an increase in funding of Rs 184 million for the Sarobi Dam in South Waziristan.
The provincial administration had already allocated Rs 270,7 million for the construction of the dam. However, following the adjustment of the cost estimate, it was determined that additional monies would be necessary to complete the project.
It was estimated that the project would cost 454 million rupees. Upon completion of the Sarobi Dam, 650 acres of land will be irrigated, and 4,200 people will have access to potable water.

According to sources, the Department of Planning and Development has authorized the revised cost and mandated that construction be completed by June 2022.
