Second Phase of Khidmat Programme Launched
Lahore: Following the completion of the first part of the “Khidmat Aapki Dehliz Par” programme, the Punjab government has initiated the second phase, which will last five weeks and conclude at the end of July.
According to the second phase schedule, cleanliness and drainage week will be observed from 28 June to 4 July, special campaign week will be observed from 5 to 11 July, plantation week (Har Bashar Do Shajar) will be observed from 12 to 18 July, Eidul Azha week will be observed from 19 to 25 July, and road safety week will be observed from 26 July to 1 August.

The chief secretary deemed the outcomes of the first phase to be “encouraging” and instructed deputy commissioners to personally oversee the program’s implementation and take disciplinary action against officials who failed to adequately address public complaints. Even beyond the end of a given week, he noted, individuals might file complaints online through the “Khidmat app.”

Similarly, during plantation week there will be tree planting and flower presentations, as well as playground levelling.
During the road safety week, there will be road maintenance, the removal of illegal speed breakers, traffic management in crowded areas, a helmet campaign, and vehicle inspections.
