Senate Expresses Reservations Over Additional Costs of NHA
A parliamentary commission in Islamabad has voiced concern about the escalating expenses of certain National Highway Authority (NHA) projects.

The Senate Standing Committee on Communications, which met at Parliament House under the chairmanship of Senator Prince Omar Ahmadzai, recommended that the National Highway Administration establish a 25-year vision for road master planning.
The NHMP chief informed the committee that 1,600 positions will be announced shortly. Former Fata and Balochistan would receive respective quotas of three percent and seven percent.

He stated that a special package for Balochistan’s youth has also been unveiled. He stated that the next recruitment procedure would be discussed at the next committee meeting.
The committee was also presented with information regarding the deputized officers and workers of the NHMP. There are now 1,545 officers and personnel on deputation with the NHMP.
