Shahkam Flyover Construction: Alternative Traffic Plan Unveiled
Lahore: Recently, alternative traffic routes for light and heavy vehicles going through Shahkam Chowk became operational, according to news sources. The Shahkam Chowk Flyover is planned to be completed in January 2022; however, sources have disclosed that the crossroads would stay blocked for the next ten months.

The intersection of Shahkam Chowk and Defence Road, Bahria Town, Canal Road, and Multan Road will remain closed. According to the plan, the following vehicle traffic routes have been opened:
- From Canal Road to Bahria Town, traffic will be rerouted via Jubilee Town, Mohlanwal Road, and Defence Road.
- Through Green Society Bridge, traffic from Defence Road will be redirected to Bahria Town.
- Jallianwala Bridge on Rohi Nala Road going to Bahria Town will remain closed.
- Heavy traffic would detour via Thokar Niaz Baig to Sundar Road and Raiwind Road.
