Shuttle Service B/W RWP, ISB Intl’ Airport on Cards
Aviation Minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan has reportedly announced the launch of an air-conditioned shuttle service between Rawalpindi and Islamabad International Airport (IIA).

Within two months of the project’s launch, the shuttle service will be in operation. The buses will operate nonstop, although the fare structure has yet to be set.
According to reports, the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) would make the required arrangements and pay for the shuttle service from Rawat and Gulzar-e-Quaid to Islamabad International Airport (IIA).
In addition to government-owned and -operated buses, two private bus firms have expressed interest in operating along the proposed routes.

The shuttle service would depart from Rawat and go via Sawan Camp, Kutcheri, Mall Road, and Peshawar Road, according to the route specifications, while the second route will depart from Gulzar Chowk and travel via Chaklala Airport (Old Benazir Airport). Islamabad passengers will board a bus at the Secretariat that will take them directly to the IIA.
