Sindh Cabinet Approve Rs 8bn for Electric Buses in Six Cities
Karachi: The Sindh cabinet resolved to refer the debate over the provincial assembly’s acceptance of the census figures from 2017 and approved the purchase of 250 diesel-hybrid electric buses for intra-district use.

Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah presided over the meeting, which began at 10 am and ended at 5 pm. Provincial ministers, advisers, Chief Secretary Mumtaz Shah, and others were also present.
Other items on the agenda included the devolution of the Sindh Solid Waste Management Board to divisional level, the removal of the requirement for Form VII production in order to sell wheat to the food department, and filing an appeal against a ruling by the Sindh High Court that declared it unlawful to regularize law enforcement officials and other people in grades 16 and 17.

The Council of Common Interests (CCI) meeting, which Census-2017 was approved despite the chief minister’s dissenting vote, was attended by him via a video link, the chief minister informed the cabinet.
He continued by saying that he had informed the prime minister that all four provinces had strong objections to the census and that the procedure needed to be redone.
