KARACHI: The Sindh government has invited bids for two phases of the Baldia Stadium Road construction project in Karachi, with a combined estimated cost exceeding Rs. 2.09 billion.
According to a tender notice issued by the Local Government Projects office, the first phase has an estimated cost of Rs. 1.02 billion, while the second phase is valued at approximately Rs. 1.07 billion.
Both phases cover the construction of Baldia Stadium Road, connecting Shahrah-e-Orangi Football Stadium through Urdu Chowk to Hub River Road. The project aims to improve road infrastructure along this route, although the tender notice does not specify a completion timeline.

Interested contractors must meet the required registration, technical and experience criteria to participate in the bidding process. The deadline for submitting bids is November 11, 2026, at 2:00 pm, while technical bids are scheduled to open at 2:30 pm on the same day.
The tender conditions also require bidders to submit security equal to 5% of the estimated cost of each phase. Contractors will need to fulfil the stated requirements to qualify for consideration.
The project remains at the tendering stage, and the invitation does not confirm that construction contracts have been awarded. Further progress will depend on the bidding process, contractor selection and subsequent implementation. Once completed, the road works are expected to contribute to improved connectivity in the Baldia area of Karachi.
