Sindh: Warning of Investments in Fake Cooperative Housing Schemes
A public notice in Karachi stated that Sindh’s Cooperative Department had issued a warning against investing in fraudulent and illegal housing schemes.

Before purchasing land or investing in housing societies, potential buyers were cautioned by the Co-operation Department of the Government of Sindh to thoroughly verify with the appropriate office of the Department of Co-operation. The department declared its intention to aid citizens in verifying the legality and legitimacy of housing developments, in order to prevent post-purchase complications.

In addition, the government has cautioned that under the Cooperative Societies Act, anyone discovered to be involved in the sale and purchase of such fraudulent and counterfeit housing societies may face legal repercussions.
