Site Offices of Illegal Housing Schemes Sealed
Rawalpindi: In addition to collecting fines totaling Rs. 10.7 million from various owners of commercial buildings, the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) shut the site offices of three illegal housing plans.

The authority’s enforcement directorate and local police sealed the site offices of Wapda Town in Taxila Tehsil, Regent Farm Housing Scheme on Chakri Road near Motorway Interchange, and Life Residencia on Fatehjang Road. Moreover, first information reports (FIRs) have been filed against Mangolia Housing and New Rawal City, two unlicensed housing developments.
An RDA spokeswoman claimed that the director general gave the LU&BC Wing specific instructions to take unflinching action against encroachments, unlicensed structures, and commercial operations.
He continued, “RDA urges citizens to consult the authority before engaging in such projects,” saying that the RDA has recommended people not to invest in unlicensed and illegal real estate projects or high-rise buildings.
