SNGPL Launches Drive to Install Thousands of Gas Meters in KP
According to a news source, the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Ltd (SNGPL) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has begun a drive to install gas meter s for thousands of household consumers.

The action will help the business regulate gas theft occurrences that have been reported in the districts of Karak, Hangu, and Kohat. These people had the mistaken belief that having access to free gas was a constitutional right, as evidenced by the information that was made public.
Speaking to the residents of Karak district, SNGPL General Manager (Peshawar) Saqib Arbab expressed his happiness at the inhabitants’ cooperation with obtaining gas legally. He claimed that doing this would help them decrease online losses and increase income.

The SNGPL started a development project called “Extension and Restoration of Gas Network” during the previous administration. The 9 billion PKR project was given priority status in the Karak, Hangu, and Kohat Districts.
The first phase of the project involved laying down 325 km of gas network in the aforementioned locations with the goal of reducing gas line losses through complete gasification and the installation of meters.
