SNGPL, SSGC Shares Information Gas Transmission Projects
Islamabad: According to published news, Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) and Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) communicated information regarding seven important gas transmission and distribution projects in their respective regions.

The following are the details of SNGPL’s important projects:
Construction of a 12-kilometer gas pipeline to deliver 30 million cubic feet per day (MMCFD) of gas to Rashakai Special Economic Zone is now underway (SEZ). It is anticipated that the project will be completed by the end of this year.
A 20-kilometer gas pipeline is being constructed to feed Allama Iqbal Industrial City SEZ with 40 MMCFD of gas. The anticipated completion date is the first quarter of 2021-2022.
To provide Allama Iqbal Industrial City with 5 MMCFD, a 2-kilometer-long main gas supply line was erected. It is commissioned through the expansion of M-3 Industrial City’s existing network.
The completion of the 10-kilometer transmission main line from Dial to G.T. Road and the 22-kilometer transmission main line from Barki to sunder is anticipated by December of this year.

A project is slated to address the severe issue of low gas pressure during the winter months in the Peshawar and Mardan regions. System expansion of the transmission pipeline Charsadda-Khanzana-Tangi is anticipated to cost a total of 2.296 billion Pakistani rupees.
Here are the specifics of the SSGC’s projects:
At a cost of around 149.41 million Pakistani rupees, a 3.5-kilometer gas pipeline will be constructed to supply 13 MMCFD of gas to Bin Qasim Industrial Park.
The approval of an 8.7-kilometer gas pipeline to supply 10 MMCFD of gas to the Bostan Special Economic Zone (SEZ) at a cost of PKR 732 million was granted.
