Srinagar Highway to Be Made Signal-Free: CDA
Islamabad: According to our sources, Ali Nawaz, the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on the Capital Development Authority (CDA), released significant news on the Srinagar Highway on Monday, February 7th. According to him, the signal-free Srinagar Highway, one of the busiest highways in the capital, will be created by constructing underpasses or interchanges.

Amir Ali Ahmed, the chairman of the CDA, disclosed that the team is preparing a plan and PC-1 to make the Srinagar Highway signal-free. The city administrators have not yet determined whether to construct three underpasses or interchanges.

It has not yet been determined if underpasses or interchanges will be erected. According to the reports, interchanges are more expensive than underpasses. The remaining funding will be allocated to a public bus service project. One of the CDA’s Engineering Wing employees announced that an interchange/underpass would be constructed at the intersection of Srinagar and 10th Avenue. Another would be constructed at the 11th and 12th Avenue intersection.
