Standard Chartered Makes an Entry Into the Cryptocurrency Market
According to Decrypt, SC Ventures, the primary venture capital arm of Standard Chartered, has joined up with BC Technology, a Chinese investment company, to create a new digital asset trading platform geared toward the institutional sector.

SC Ventures CEO Alex Manson assured the worried officials, “We have a strong view that digital assets are here to stay and will be recognised by the institutional market as a highly relevant asset class.
In theory, four exchanges and five of the biggest Over the Counter (OTC) dealers are included in Standard Chartered’s new crypto trading platform. The platform wants to promote safe adoption and trading among the biggest cryptocurrency investors by offering brokerage services and a cutting-edge exchange platform.
According to the article, the new platform will largely cater to investors in the United Kingdom and other European nations by enabling them to trade Bitcoin, Ethereum, and a few other cryptocurrencies with smaller market caps.

The ten largest digital exchanges in the world will participate in the first test trade, which will reportedly occur in July, according to CoinDesk.
