State Land Recovered in KP Cities on Anti-Encroachment
During an anti-encroachment campaign, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Board of Revenue reclaimed state land worth PKR 60 billion from illegal occupation, according to news sources.

The operation recovered 668 kanals of state land worth PKR 39 billion in Peshawar, followed by 322 kanals of land worth PKR 15 billion in Mardan, according to the information presented.
In Abbottabad, officials recovered 82 kanals of state land valued at PKR 2.57 billion; in Dera Ismail Khan, authorities recovered 276 kanals valued at PKR 2.15 billion; and in Nowshera district, authorities recovered 477 kanals valued at PKR 1.2 billion.
Moreover, 326 kanals of land worth PKR 3.9 billion have been reclaimed in Charsadda district, 71 kanals in Lakki Marwat, 67 kanals in Buner, 66 kanals in Bannu, 34 kanals in Haripur, and 33 kanals in Mansehra.

According to KP SMBR, the government is embarking on a project to digitize land records, and 3,500 mouzas of land records in 19 districts of the province have already been digitized. By the end of this year, the remaining 1,200 mouzas will be completely digitized. He asserts that digitizing and upgrading land records will substantially minimize land appropriation and encroachment.
