Sujan Singh Haveli, Food Street Projects to Be Approved Soon
The rehabilitation of the Sujan Singh Haveli and Bhabhra Bazar Food Street projects, according to Commissioner of Rawalpindi Mohammad Mehmood, is the last step in promoting tourism while preserving Rawalpindi’s unique history.
“Funds have been allocated for these projects by the Rawalpindi Metropolitan Corporation (RMC), and construction will soon start. Sujan Singh Haveli’s rehabilitation will cost Rs104 million, and the Bhabra Bazar Food Street project will cost Rs80 million, the official stated.

He made this statement while paying a visit to RMC Chief Officer Ali Abbas Bukhari, MNA Sheikh Rashid Shafiq, and Sujan Singh Haveli.
The Sujan Singh Haveli is a historically significant but dilapidated building, but the RMC will renovate it and the seven nearby temples, he said.
The Walled City of Lahore Authority would oversee the restoration work on the Sujan Singh Haveli. He added that the mansion’s rooftop would also house a food cafe.
People in the surrounding areas will have employment opportunities thanks to Sujan Singh’s Haveli and Bhabra Bazar Food Street projects, he continued.
