Syed Imad Ali Secures World Scrabble Youth Cup for Pakistan
Syed Imad Ali of Pakistan won the World English Scrabble Players Association (WESPA) Youth Cup in Karachi. This is his second victory in the tournament’s championship round.

In the finals, Imaad Ali won nine of thirteen games against his opponent. Pakistan won the competition, and Hasham Hadi Khan, another Pakistani who qualified with 26 wins, placed fourth after winning his final seven matches.
Approximately eighty competitors from fourteen countries participated in the competition. Other than him, two Pakistani players, Ali Salman and Usman Shaukat, were in the top 10 till the final round of the group stage but were unable to advance.

He is the only individual to have won the World Youth title twice, having previously won in Dubai in 2018. In England’s Torquay in November of 2019, he became the youngest player to win the Junior World Scrabble Championship.
Nadeem Omar, the president of the Pakistan Scrabble Association, will award Imaad Rs 100,000.
