Tarin for Completing NGMS Sale Process by June End
Islamabad: The Next Generation Mobile Services (NGMS) spectrum auction process should be sped up and finished by June, according to Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Shaukat Tarin.

After the drought policy instructions in this respect were accepted during the advisory committee’s fourth meeting, he made this statement.
Through a video connection, the federal minister was presiding over the meeting. Syed Amin-ul-Haque, the federal minister for IT and telecommunication, Makhdum Khusro Bakhtyar, the federal minister for production and industries, Dr. Waqar Masood, the SAPM for finance and revenue, secretary for finance division, secretary for telecommunications, secretary for Kashmir affairs, chairman of the PTA, executive member of the frequency allocation board (FAB), and other senior officers attended the meeting.

Details indicate that the advisory group was informed about the drought policy directive for the nation’s NGMS for discussion as well as the spectrum auction in AJK and Gilgit Baltistan.
Tarin pushed for a quicker project turnaround so it could be finished this fiscal year. He stipulated that the entire auction procedure must be open, competitive, and compliant with the law.
