Helicopter Flights to Be Started for Skardu & Gilgit by CAA
With the construction of a new runway, the Skardu airport has been designated as an international airport and is supplying tourist regions with capabilities such as helicopter landing.

According to the Civil Aviation Authority, the federal government proposes helicopter services and international flights for Skardu and Gilgit to promote tourism.
Khaqan Murtaza, the director-general of the CAA, stated in a press interview on Wednesday, “We want to enhance tourism in Gilgit, Chitral, and Skardu through the operation of large aircraft,” adding that foreign flights are also permitted to land.

In order to lure tourists to Gwadar, Mohenjo Daro, and Turbat, activities would also be conducted. “Operations have already begun at Saidu Sharif airport,” he added.
