Two Parks in Pindi Get Zoo Status
The Punjab Forestry, Wildlife and Fisheries Department has designated four wildlife parks in Rawalpindi as zoos: Loi Bher and Murree in Rawalpindi, Bahawalnagar, and Vehari.

A zoo is a place where animals are housed for public display. A wildlife sanctuary is an area where animals are shielded from threats such as hunting. Their habitat is likewise maintained in this region, according to department sources.
Due to its state, the 27-year-old Loi Bher Wildlife Park, which was constructed as a recreational amenity on the border of Rawalpindi and Islamabad, does not attract many tourists.
Along the Islamabad Expressway, on 687 acres of forested area, the park was constructed in 1992. It included woodland regions, a park, and a lake, and was established to preserve biological variety and endangered species.
