Two Water Filtration Plants Installed in Kohat
Wednesday, a local cement manufacturer in Kohat launched two water filtration facilities constructed at a cost of Rs 6,400,000 as part of its corporate social responsibility fund.

An official of the firm stated at the event that Rs 1.4 million had been allocated for the upkeep of the filtration facilities and that a four-person staff had been appointed for their oversight.
He stated that the installation of water filtration plants in three mosques had been completed at a cost of Rs 3.5 million.
He stated that the factory management was contributing to community development and had awarded hundreds of scholarships to students from Kohat University of Science and Technology, Quaid-i-Azam College, and a technical institute.

The official stated that the unit had also contributed to the running expenses of Al-Khidmat Hospital by providing an ambulance and an X-Ray machine. He stated that the factory’s management had planted over 50,000 trees in the surrounding area in an effort to reduce pollution.
