Upgraded Vaccination Center Opened in G-9
Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed inaugurated the updated CDA Medical Centre in G-9, which includes a model immunisation centre, in Islamabad.

With cooperation from the World Health Organization, a model immunisation centre has been constructed (WHO). Dr. Ahmed Al-Mandhari, WHO Regional Director for the Eastern Mediterranean, also attended the occasion.
Also present were MCI Administrator Syeda Shafiq Hashmi, WHO national representative Dr. Palitha Mahipala, and Director General (Health Services) Dr. Hassan Urooj.
The minister stated that Prime Minister Imran Khan led the nation effectively during the health crisis and that the number of Covid-19 cases has begun to fall.
Dr. Urooj added that the DHS had enrolled Islamabad in the International Healthy City Network with WHO support.

He also acknowledged WHO’s invaluable assistance in building a comprehensive healthcare programme in Islamabad.
