Upgraded Warsak Pump House Inaugurated
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Shah Farman and Khyber tribal district Chief Minister Mahmood Khan launched the improvement of the Warsak pump house in Jamrud tehsil, Khyber tribal district, in Peshawar.

According to a statement issued today, relevant officials told the chief minister and the governor that the remaining three pumping units would be placed by March 2022.
All completed units would discharge 290 cusecs of water into the Warsak canal system, supplying water to Och Nehr throughout the year.
On this occasion, Governor Shah Farman stated that Och Nehr has been waterless for decades, causing thousands of acres of land to become desolate.

However, he stated that upgrading the current pump house and installing new ones will help water the parched terrain, hence bringing prosperity to the region.
Secretary of irrigation Nizamuddin, division commissioner of Peshawar Riaz Mehsud, deputy commissioner of Khyber, and officials from the irrigation department were also present.
