The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has suspended a Deputy Director of the Customs Academy of Pakistan (CAP) in Karachi for failing to attend a mandatory training course at LUMS.
According to an official notification issued on Wednesday, Iqbal Ahmad Memon (PCS/BS-18) has been suspended with immediate effect under Rule 5(1) of the Civil Servants (Efficiency & Discipline) Rules, 2020. The suspension will remain in place until disciplinary proceedings are completed.
The FBR stated that the action was taken due to his repeated and unauthorized absence from multiple sessions of a compulsory certification course, reflecting non-compliance with official training requirements and a lack of professional responsibility.
