Uzbekistan Acquires Land in Gwadar to Promote Trade
Gwadar: According to news reports, Abdul Razak Dawood, the prime minister’s advisor on commerce and investment, Uzbekistan has purchased a 25-acre parcel of land in Gwadar that will foster bilateral connection and trade.

According to the advisor, Pakistan is a great place to help them increase regional connectivity since Uzbekistan and other central Asian nations seek to gain access to the sea for the construction of trade channels. He added that a bilateral trade agreement between Pakistan and Uzbekistan would be established, boosting Pakistan’s exports.
The advisor mentioned a number of business deals and Memorandums of Understanding that were signed by both nations during Prime Minister Imran Khan’s recent trip to Uzbekistan (MoUs).

According to him, the region has to develop connection in a similar fashion to how Europe has. The advisor stated that Pakistani industrialists and the business community should attend a trade show in Tashkent while speaking at a conference of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI).
