WAPDA Tariff Rate for Consumers Has Been Reduced by NEPRA

Official sources claim that the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has reduced the WAPDA-the Water and Power Development Authority’s (WAPDA) bulk supply of the hydel tariff rate by roughly 27%.

According to data, NEPRA recently dropped this hydel rate, which was formerly about Rs. 5.67 per kWh and included Rs. 3.55 per kWh of NHP/hydel levies, to Rs. 1.56 per unit to roughly Rs. 4.11 per kWh that includes Rs. 0.96 per kWh of the NHP/hydel levies.

The NEPRA also decreased the hydel taxes and hydel benefit by Rs. 2.59 per unit, or from Rs. 3.55 per unit to Rs. 0.96 per unit.
