Wind Projects in Pakistan to Generate 150K MW of Energy
According to a recent US Agency for International Development (USAID) assessment, Pakistan has the capacity to generate approximately 150,000MW of wind energy, which may result in a two-billion-dollar investment. According to government estimations, solar and wind energy have the capacity to create 143,000MW across the country.

The country is now constructing wind power plants in Sindh’s Jhimpir, Gharo, Keti Bandar, and Bin Qasim, which will lessen its dependence on oil imports, which cost the government over $12 billion each year.
In the majority of the world, wind speeds between 6.2 and 6.9 metres per second are considered fair. In contrast, the wind speed in the Sindh corridor is higher, ranging between 7.5 and 7.7 m/s.

According to a study, Pakistan has the ability to generate 3,2 million MW from renewable energy sources. Wind generates 340,000MW, solar generates 2.9 million MW, hydro generates 50,000MW (large), hydro generates 3,100MW (small), bagasse cogeneration generates 1,800MW, and waste generates 500MW.
