Work on Haripur Road Inaugurated
Haripur: The Lawrencepur-Tarbela Road construction was officially started by Economic Affairs Minister Omar Ayub Khan.
The 26 km long road, which connects Laurancepur with Tarbela Dam and Swabi district, was carpeted several years ago but has since developed potholes, which is inconveniencing travelers.

The $1.85 billion road project was approved by Minister Omar Ayub, an MNA from Haripur.
The road will be built by the KP Highway Authority with Nespak serving as a consultant.
The road will feature 54 tiny culverts and a wider width of 33 feet, up from 22 feet. The minister said that thousands of citizens and commuters would benefit from the project.

He claimed to have secured approval for a number of development projects for the Ghazi tehsil, including the building of the Bharwasa dam and the provision of gas to numerous villages.
Yousuf Ayub Khan, the PTI leader, and Speaker of the National Assembly Asad Qaiser were also in attendance.
