Work on Rawalpindi Ring Road Project to Begin by August: Firdous
Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan, the Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Punjab for Information, stated that the 38-kilometer-long Rawalpindi Ring Road project from G.T. Road to Thulian near the Motorway has been approved and construction will begin in August.

She stated that 67 audit paras of anomalies found in the prior project plan by the audit department and the anti-corruption investigation were in their final stages and would be made public once completed.
She was speaking at an RDA (Rawalpindi Development Authority) press briefing.
Also present were RDA Chairman Tariq Murtaza, Vice Chairman Haroon Hashmi, and RDA Director General Nadeem Ahmed Abro.

Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan stated that corrupt authorities were being punished. She stated that the Lahore bombing should not be connected to any supposition.
She stated that the Chief Minister of Punjab had pledged Rs100,000 for light injuries, Rs500,000 for major injuries, and Rs1,000,000 for those killed in the explosion.
