Beijing: Xiaomi, the second-largest smartphone manufacturer in the world, plans to open an assembly facility in Pakistan within the next three to four months, generating jobs and enhancing smartphone accessibility throughout the nation.
China Economic Net (CEN) reported that Xiaomi surpassed Apple in Q2 2021 to become the second-largest smartphone vendor in the world, behind Samsung.

According to data from Canalys, its exports increased 83 percent year over year to reach a 17 percent global market share during the quarter.
If this rate of development keeps up, the China-based tech giant could soon surpass Samsung, as it did with Apple, and could take the top spot in the global smartphone market by the end of this year.
Several smartphone producers have already established their assembly facilities in Pakistan. Tecno, Infinix, Gfive, and Realme are some of these brands.
