12 PC Work on Daducha Dam Accomplished
Rawalpindi: After land acquisition-related obstacles were resolved, about 12 percent of the Daducha Dam’s construction was completed.
In a meeting with the commissioner and retired Captain Mohammad Mehmood presiding, irrigation department representatives made the following statement. During the conference, a thorough review of the dam’s ongoing construction was done.

The construction of the dam, he claimed, is currently being done by more than 90 large equipment, and it is a significant project of public interest given the deteriorating water situation in Rawalpindi.
Although the project has been in the planning stage for a while, all administrative and technical issues have been resolved as a matter of priority during the past several months.
Further payments were delayed mostly due to landowners’ lack of interest in recovering cash while several affected parties were abroad.
He claimed that in order to make a judgement in this respect, the tax officials of Rawalpindi and Chakwal have been instructed to compile information on all those impacted and list the causes of payment delays.
